Hi! My name is Kyrsten, I’m 19 years old and live in the UK. Thank you for stopping by to look at my little baking blog.
It started when I lost my Granny to cancer. It was a horrible time but I have found comfort in baking, something we both once shared together. My Granny was always baking when I was younger and I would always watch and help whilst she was babysitting me. Time went by, she got older and struggled to bake and I got older and didn't need looking after anymore.
I was 19 when she finally lost the battle with cancer. She left a huge gap in mine and my family’s lives.
I decided to start baking. Starting from the basics, I plan to learn as much as I can. Baking brings me joy. It is stress relieving and a great way to remember my Granny.
It wasn't until my Grandad decided to give me my Granny’s old scrapbooks, where she wrote down all her recipes, that I decided I wanted a way of documenting my baking adventures too. And that’s when the idea for this blog was born. I don’t claim to be any good at baking, it is just something that, inspired by my Granny, I have grown to really enjoy.
Although I started this blog as a personal journey, I hope you can find something here, whether it be entertainment, inspiration or enjoyment from my Granny’s recipes.
More about me? Hmm, well…
I am in love with my amazing boyfriend, best friend and soul mate. He is the most sweet and caring man and he makes me feel like the luckiest girl alive. We've been inseparable since we started dating on the 7th July 2009. I am grateful every day for his support and love.
I am currently studying with the Open University to hopefully get my degree in Computing and ICT.
My favourite things to bake (and eat!) are cupcakes. Not only do they taste good, they look good too. They are just too cute and pretty.
My other hobbies include animals, crafting, learning new things, collecting things, photography, travelling, reading, computers, fashion and walking.
My favourite animals are dogs, cats, polar bears, leopards and pandas.
I’m open to trying new recipes so if you have a recipe you want me to try or have any other suggestions then please get in contact with me by either leaving a comment or email me at email@example.com.
So I guess the only thing left to say is that I hope you enjoy my blog. I will mostly be posting about new recipes I try, things I’m baking and anything else that takes my fancy.
Thank you to everyone who visits, it means so much to me!
